Bare Productions
Exploring new kinks with two logo developments for Bare Production’s rendition of the iconic musical.
Once upon a time, I promised myself that if I ever became senior, I’d help up-and-comers do the same. Well, I’ve got a few greys now, so it’s no surprise I love mentoring in different programmes or delivering training workshops.
Client: Edinburgh Napier, Marketing Society
Services: Coaching, training
Contract: Voluntary
Year: Ongoing
This mentorship came from a chance encounter whilst I was on a speaker panel for Napier. Over the course of several months, we went from discussing marketing theory to the minutia of CVs. Best of all? We’re still pals today.
An absolute whizz when it comes to UX and human-centred design, our mentorship here primarily on reviewing work and musing about human psychology. Nowadays, he’s a very talented User Experience Consultant.
This mentorship focused on gaining advertising agency employment. Key highlights included a ‘choose your role’ workshop and pointers on networking. They soon went on to snatch an Account Manager role at a top agency.
Mostly, I do it to keep a promise I made to myself: to be the person I didn't have when I was younger. It's a cliché, but mentoring truly is rewarding. Good way to make pals too.
Similar to coaching, I also offer training workshops for in-house teams that cannot afford an agency retainer or simply want to upskill a junior creative. Give me a shout!
