Making investment simple

Having launched their new-to-market property investment brand, Investment Tribe had a new objective: reaching their audience through social media with a launch campaign. The core of this? A social-first art direction to entice and educate.

Client: Investment Tribe

Services: Design, retouching

Agency: Sunshine, Employed (link)

Year: 2020

A new home on social media

For social success, it was clear Investment Tribe needed to achieve two things: brand recall and product education. With limited assets, I chose to lean on my ‘retouching‘ skill set a lot – editing images to match the brand colours, dropping in the logo and ensuring typography appeared.

A retouched image of keys, with the Investment Tribe logo edited onto a house shape keyring.
A retouched image of the Glasgow skyline with hands making a heart-shape superimposed on top. It looks realistic, as if it was a photo. Text says: Cities to be proud of, cities to invest in.
Lifestyle image of a young man with a pull-quote saying: I knew that I wanted to invest in property. I just didn't know how."
Glasgow tenement buildings with text saying: hand picked portfolios.

Education through Instagram Stories

As part of the social rollout, a series of Instagram Story highlights were created to complement the main posts and paid ads.  These intended to turn a complex topic into bitesize learnings – moving the new audience through the onboarding process through visuals and concise copy.

Collaborations

I played designer and art director on the account, lending my copywriting skill for on-graphic text. I also worked with a (very talented!) senior copywriter, social media manager and account director.

The Dungeons

“Kinda goofy, kinda spooky” is literally my vibe, so you can imagine how psyched I was to write for the Edinburgh Dungeon – in a mix of social content, community management and a live Halloween event.
